Set on an upstate hillside, this private family home was designed for a fabulous couple. This modernist country home is a contemporary response to the vernacular houses so prevalent in the area. The home intended as a space to scape, to provide relaxed comfort, a serene atmosphere, and the feeling of a retreat getaway where nature, peace, and relaxation meet harmoniously in a rustic and yet chic minimalist space. The use of projected horizontal lines, movable panels, and oversized openings provides the desired effect of blurring the traditional line between interior-exterior areas. Strategically placed on top of a hill, its 360° view allows you to feel highly connected with the surrounding environment yet provides privacy when desired.

The interior’s earth tones, a soft palate, curated furniture pieces, and objects create a timeless space that nurtures the senses, recalibrates the mind, and improves well-being.
